Removing Front Crank Bearing

Tools Needed:  Dremel tool, heavy duty cutting disk, cold chisel, hammer, 19mm socket and small 3 arm puller

Use the Dremel with reinforced cutting disk to cut 98% of the way through the outer race of the bearing at 12 and 6 o'clock.

Take the cold chisel and it give a crisp smack at each cut...

...and be prepared to catch ball bearings.

Place the 19mm socket on the crank end and mount the puller to the inner race.

I used a socket and extension as a cheater bar to get things moving.

The bearing bits & pieces.

Crank is ready to get the slingers cleaned and to be measured for tolerances.
